ISLAMABAD, 23rd May, 2012, L@C, IIUI: Insaf Students Federation, Islamabad organized a major students gathering at International Islamic University Islamabad. President of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi was the chief guest. Senior leader of PTI, Dr. Israr Shah was also present on the occasion. The environment of the student’s activity center, IIUI was filled with passion and the students present in the gathering, specially the members of ISF were well motivated and excited about the event.

Flags of ISF were all over the student’s activity center of International Islamic University, Islamabad. ISF was well organized and the preparations made for the day were appreciated by the audience. Patriotic songs were filling the air and the crowd was cheering for Imran Khan, Javed Hashmi, Dr. Israr Shah, PTI and ISF. “Hum Pakistan K Bete Hain Aur Koi Apna Naam Nahi” was motivating the students as they awaited the arrival of the President of the most popular political party in the youth of Pakistan.

“Uth Jawana Ker Day Sawaray” was performed live on stage by Afrad Shah and Dr. Israr Shah along with the audience appreciated his performance. President PTI, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi arrived at campus on time and he was warmly welcomed by the students. “Baaghi, Baaghi” chants were in the air as the President PTI arrived the stage surrounded by dozens of ISF students.

The gathering became over crowded after the arrival of President PTI, Javed Hashmi that the security had to remove the barricade in order to make room for the increasing number of students. The program officially started by the recitation of Holy Quran by Abdul Basit. Followed by the recitation of Holy Quran was the Naat by Farmanullah. President of Insaf Students Federation Islamabad,  Sajjad Fayyaz Khan welcomed the guests and leaders and thanked them for coming. Farrukh Habib, President Insaf Students Federation, Punjab was also present at the occasion to address the students in a motivating speech in which he emphasized on the importance of youth in politics.

Tahir Yousafzai, President ISF, International Islamic University warmly welcomed the leaders and delivered a vote of thanks. Umair Kujjar, Senior Vice President, ISF Islamabad, Ali Awan, Ex-President PTI, Islamabad were also present on the stage and were thanked by the speakers for their collaboration. Abdul Basit, General Secretary ISF was also seen very enthusiastic during the speech of his leaders.

After the speeches of the student leaders of ISF, came Dr. Israr Shah. Senior central leader of PTI. He belongs to Islamabad and accompanied the president of his party to a hometown gathering of students. During his motivating speech he shared his memories from the student life. He told the audience that he was also a student leader of his institution just like Makhdoom Javed Hashmi and he made a strong point that the youth of his time believed that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto can bring a change to he supported PPP and the youth of the day believed that Imran Khan can bring a change so he is supporting Imran Khan.

Dr. Israr Shah in his motivating speech shared with the audience about his sacrifice of half of his body during the struggle for the free judiciary. For those who don’t know, Dr. Israr Shah lost both of his legs in a blast during a rally in the restoration of judiciary. He said “I proudly say that I spent my youth in the jails of General. Zia ul Haq” and when his wheel chair shook and a student tried to catch it, he said “I did not die after a blast which took my half body, so I won’t die falling of a wheel chair either”. Dr. Shah told the students about their importance and role in the changing politics of Pakistan. After the speech of Dr. Israr Shah, all the students present in the gathering rose for the national anthem of Pakistan.

In the end, President Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi came to the podium and the whole crowd started chanting “Baghi Baghi” all fired up with excitement. All the students were on their feet to see that legendary student leader who is today one of the leading politician of Pakistan. President Hashmi thanked the panel of ISF officials for organizing the gathering. He said that he is aware of the fact that this is the ending time of a semester and the students are busy studying but he came today in the gathering of students to present himself in their court of justice. He added:

“We have enough resources in Pakistan and a very talented youth but the leaders here are sucking the blood of people like draculas. We won’t let those draculas suck the blood of Pakistanis. We will get rid of them”

President of PTI, Makhdoom Javed Hashmi told the gathering of the students about how he left all the major offers his previous party was offerings, the seat of national assembly, the positions in the party. He said that he was on the verge of dying but he had to come back to save Pakistan.

It was the first of its kind gathering by ISF, IIUI and was a success. Previously in IIUI, ISF had organized a book fair which was also a major success. The students who were present their expressed strong believe that Imran Khan can actually bring change in the country.
